June 12: 'Nigeria’s Democracy Is A Marathon, Not Sprint' - Otti Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has called on Nigerians to deepen their commitment to democracy, unity, and accountable governance. In his 2026 Democracy Day address, Otti said democracy offers citizens the freedom to interrogate ideas, reflect on governance, and assess national progress, while urging Nigerians to remain engaged in shaping the country’s democratic journey.
