Odisha distributes voter roll revision forms to 99 pc electors; 34.5 pc ...
Bhubaneswar | Enumeration forms for the special intensive revision of electoral rolls in Odisha have been distributed to around 99 per cent of the state's voters, and 34.54 per cent of those have been digitised, an official said on Monday.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi participated in the SIR campaign at his native Raikala village in Keonjhar district, filling out his enumeration form.
The enumeration forms have been distributed to over 3.30 crore voters as on June 14 evening, taking the total coverage ratio to 98.95 per cent, said an official at the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Odisha.
Around 34.54 per cent of the forms, which translates to 1.15 crore voters, have been digitised so far.

Bhubaneswar, July 6: The ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Odisha has led to the deletion of a significant number of voter records across districts. Ganjam reported the highest number of deletions, with 2,07,624 names removed from the electoral roll, according to official data.Nearly 20.14 lakh voters’ names have deleted in Odisha as per the draft electoral rolls published on Sunday, following a month-long door-to-door enumeration process as part of the SIR of the voters’ list in the State.Malkangiri recorded the highest deletion rate among all districts, with 10.25% of its electors removed during the SIR process.Ganjam was followed by Kataka with 1,55,164 number of deletions. 18 Lakh Enumeration Forms Distributed On Day One Of SIR In Bengal
Kolkata: A total of 18 lakh enumeration forms were distributed among the voters till 5 p.m. on Tuesday, which was the first day of the first stage of the three-stage special intensive revision (SIR) of the Election Commission of India (ECI) in West Bengal.
“Enumeration Forms in duplicate have been handed over to more than 18 lakh electors until 5 p.m. during the first day of House to House visit on 04.11.2025,” said a statement issued from the office of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), West Bengal on Tuesday evening.
In the statement, the CEO’s office also claimed that all activities relating to SIR are progressing well as per schedule in West Bengal.
West Bengal has 80,681 Booth Level Officers (BLOs). According to the statement, the total number of booth-level agents (BLAs) appointed by the recognised national and state political parties who are registered with ECI currently stands at over 63,000.
Each political party has once again been requested by the district election officers (DEOs) to appoint one BLA per booth as far as possible, according to the statement from the CEO’s office.

Over 1 lakh enumeration forms were distributed across Meghalaya on the first day of the house-to-house campaign for Special Intensive Revision ( SIR)
1,19,129 enumeration forms were distributed , covering 5.07% of the state’s total electorate.

The drive began on June 30.
“The objective of the Special Intensive Revision is to ensure that no eligible citizen is left out, while no ineligible person is included in the Electoral Roll,” Tiwari said.
He said 3,551 Booth Level Officers have been deployed across the state, with each BLO covering an average of 662 electors. All BLOs have been trained for the exercise.
60 Electoral Registration Officers, 166 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers and 410 BLO Supervisors have been appointed and trained to oversee the process.

A massive drive to clean up and update Odisha’s voter rolls is entering its final stages. Aiming to produce an accurate and transparent electoral roll by systematically removing the names of deceased people, those who have moved away, and any other ineligible voters.
The campaign’s reach has been immense. Since May 30, over 45,000 booth-level officers (BLOs) have taken to the streets, going door to door for voter verification. The numbers speak volumes—by the evening of June 15, enumeration forms had reached more than 3.31 crore electors. That’s 99.14% of Odisha’s eligible voters, just above the 3.30 crore (98.95%) counted a day before.

Ranchi:Jharkhand’s Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar has clarified that approximately 1.63 crore existing voters included in the state’s 2026 electoral roll will not need to submit any documents under the Special Intensive Revision process. These voters will only need to submit a duly filled pre-filled enumeration form and a recent colour photograph.
Mapping Process Reduces Burden on Voters
The Chief Electoral Officer congratulated all BLOs for successfully completing the first phase of self and parental mapping, stating that the process is aimed at reducing the documentation burden on voters. He explained that mapping done on the basis of the 2003 SIR electoral roll and previous voter lists from other states and union territories has provided relief to a large number of voters from submitting additional documents.

BHUBANESWAR: Around 20.14 lakh electors have been excluded from Odisha's draft electoral roll published on Sunday, following the month long house-to-house survey in the first phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in the state.
Following the exercise carried out between May 30 and June 28 this year, the number of voters have come down from 3,33,99,591 in the pre-revision electoral roll to 3,13,87,034 in the draft.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) RS Gopalan said the draft electoral roll comprises 1,60,19,176 male voters, 1,53,65,083 female voters and 2,775 third-gender electors.
He said the enumeration forms were collected from around 3.13 crore electors, accounting for 93.97 per cent (pc) of the total electorate.
The revision exercise identified 8.32 lakh electors (2.49 %) as deceased, while 10.07 lakh voters (3.02%), had either shifted residence or were found absent.
Another 1.58 lakh electors (0.47%) were found to be enrolled at multiple places.

BHUBANESWAR: Close to 99 per cent of enumeration forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls have been distributed, with authorities now shifting focus on rapid digitisation of the collected forms, the office of chief electoral officer (CEO) said on Saturday.
The CEO office stated that enumeration forms had been distributed to 3.2 crore voters, about 98.65 per cent of the electorate as of June 13, marking a record and unique milestone. Similarly, about 9.54 million forms, representing 28.57 per cent of total voters, have also been digitised. Booth level officers (BLOs) are continuing the door-to-door collection while simultaneously uploading forms to the online system.
The state has set a June 28 deadline to complete the distribution, collection and digitisation process as part of the door-to-door survey under the exercise. Officials said voters who have not yet submitted their forms have been urged to do so immediately through their BLOs or online.
