Attorneys for Tyler Robinson have requested that prosecutors be held in contempt for comments made in the media regarding a bullet fragment recovered from Charlie Kirk’s body. Defense attorneys accused prosecutors of going on a 'media tour' to discuss expert reports about the fragment, claiming these remarks violated restrictions imposed by Judge Tony Graf against speaking about the case outside of court. Prosecutors, according to one report, said they had a right to correct misinformation from Robinson’s attorneys about an inconclusive, preliminary finding by ballistics experts. Ballistics experts could not immediately match the bullet fragments with a gun allegedly used by Tyler Robinson. Lawyers for Robinson have also asked Judge Tony Graf to block the death penalty in the case. Judge Graf said he will rule on Monday whether prosecutors could face sanctions for their media comments.
