A Pittsburgh police cruiser struck a civilian vehicle in Allentown on Saturday night, resulting in two individuals being transported to the hospital in stable condition. According to triblive.com, the collision occurred at about 9:40 p.m. on Arlington Avenue when a vehicle pulled out from Knox Avenue into the path of a Zone 3 Pittsburgh police officer responding to a call. The officer suffered a hand injury, and the civilian driver reported neck and back pain. The Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the incident.

The SUV struck the passenger side of the police car. The police car caught fire and remained partially rolled on its side for hours after the crash. The police officer and two EMS supervisors were taken to a local hospital in stable condition, and occupants of the vehicles had to be pulled from the wreckage.
