President Droupad Murmu led International Yoga Day celebrations in Jabalpur, performing exercises alongside Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, and thousands of participants. The event was moved indoors due to heavy rain. In Andhra Pradesh, the state government organised Yoga Fortnight events across villages and districts, in line with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's vision to promote yoga awareness. Home minister Vangalapudi Anitha said yoga should become a part of daily life and highlighted yoga's role in combating stress and depression, particularly among children, as well as its benefits for physical and mental well-being. She also congratulated the residents of Visakhapatnam for their support of last year's mass yoga event, which involved more than three lakh people. Yoga is India’s gift to world, guiding humanity amid challenges.
