The base seat count for Plus One in 2026 was 361,044, while the number of students who passed Class 10 in 2026 was 414,290.

The first allotment covered 246,638 students, according to reports from deshabhimani.com. Of those covered, 220,465 students joined schools. Among the students who joined, 123,744 secured permanent admission by paying fees, and 96,721 took temporary admission. The first allotment admissions were scheduled to begin on Monday at 10 a.m. and continue until 5 p.m. on June 17, as reported by the Hindu.

A total of 26,173 seats were freed up and brought under consideration for the second allotment. Factors contributing to freed seats included 24,978 students who did not join schools within the stipulated time due to fee structure and distance constraints, as well as 1,195 allotments cancelled owing to errors in applications. Admissions for the second allotment were scheduled from 10 a.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Tuesday. The third allotment list was scheduled to be released on June 29.
