According to the Houston Chronicle, a collision on the eastbound side of Interstate 10 near Highway 6 killed two people on Wednesday morning. The crash involved an 18‑wheeler heading eastbound and a Mitsubishi sedan; the truck struck the highway's right barrier while the sedan rolled onto its driver’s side and slid down the freeway. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene, and the incident was described as fiery. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez wrote on social media that the scene was located near Dairy Ashford Road, and Houston TranStar verified the crash at 5:02 a.m. The accident shut down Interstate 10, which remained blocked for roughly seven hours.
