A high-powered delegation from the University of Benin (UNIBEN), including Pro-Chancellor Umaru Shuaibu, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Osagie Ize-Iyamu, and Vice-Chancellor Edoba Omoregie, visited Education Minister Tunji Alausa to brief him on the forthcoming launch of the UNIBEN Trust Development Fund and formally invite him to the event. The minister described the fund as a bold and laudable initiative and requested that invitations to the launch be extended to other pro-chancellors and vice-chancellors across Nigeria. He pledged to attend the event. The fund is intended to serve as an alternative source of funding to address infrastructure gaps.
