Three individuals were arrested in connection with a petrol bomb attack on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office in Ranchi. Police investigations suggest the attackers had ties to Tehreek-e-Taliban Hindustan (TTH), a Pakistan-backed organization. Two of the arrested individuals, Saif Ansari and Aman Ansari, traveled to Dubai, where they allegedly received radicalization and met Shahbaz Rana alias Bhatti, a Pakistani national. The suspects are accused of communicating with overseas handlers via encrypted messaging apps, including WhatsApp and Botim, and recorded videos of the attack to share with these contacts. The arrests were made on Wednesday night, according to one report. A case was registered at Chutia police station under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Explosive Substances Act. According to one source, the main accused, identified as Saif, escaped from police custody at Kotwali police station and was later re-arrested after an encounter.
