The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has urged parents and caregivers to ensure that every child under five receives the vaccine, even if they have already completed their routine immunization schedule. Health experts say repeated doses during Pulse Polio campaigns are essential to maintain high community immunity and prevent the re-establishment of poliovirus transmission.

The importance of the Pulse Polio Campaign
Polio, or poliomyelitis, is a highly infectious viral disease that predominantly attacks young children and can result in permanent paralysis. Ongoing vaccination is vital to prevent the re-emergence of the virus and to maintain high immunity levels among the youngest population.
