The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has introduced a new toll-free emergency hotline, 3367, to enhance traffic management, improve emergency response and strengthen public engagement across the state.
Announcing the initiative, LASTMA’s Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment, Adebayo Taofiq, said the new short code replaces the agency’s previous longer contact numbers with a more accessible and user-friendly communication platform.
He explained that the 3367 hotline is free to users on MTN, Glo and 9mobile networks, enabling millions of subscribers to report traffic incidents and emergencies without incurring call charges.
According to Taofiq, road users can use the hotline to report vehicle breakdowns, road crashes, disabled articulated vehicles, stranded tankers, traffic obstructions and other situations requiring immediate intervention.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has officially unveiled its new 3367 toll-free short code hotline to strengthen emergency response and enhance traffic management.
The agency described it as a strategic initiative designed to fortify emergency response operations, optimise traffic management efficiency and deepen public participation in the administration of road transportation across Lagos State.
The General Manager of LASTMA, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, said this in a statement on Sunday in Lagos.
Mr Bakare-Oki noted that the newly introduced short-code represented a significant migration from the agency’s former long-service code platform to a more accessible, technologically advanced and citizen-oriented communication framework.
