Monsoon Session Likely from July 20 to August 13 ANI New Delhi: Parliament 's monsoon session is likely to begin on July 20 and conclude on August 13, with a proposal to this effect before the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs , sources said. The session will be closely watched for whether the government makes another bid to push the Constitution amendment bill that seeks a uniform 50% increase in the strength of the Lok Sabha and state assemblies to operationalise the 33% women reservation . The Opposition is also expected to target the government over paper leaks. The recent defections from Trinamool and Shiv Sena (UBT) are likely to emerge as another flashpoint between the treasury and Opposition benches. The Speaker is expected to decide before the session begins on the recognition of the defecting MPs, a ruling that will determine their seating arrangements.
