(TNND) —President Donald Trump headed to Europe early Monday morning for the annual G7 summit, where he will meet with fellow world leaders after announcing an agreement that he says willbring an end to the U.S. war with Iran.
He is due to arrive in Évian-les-Bains, France, in the afternoon. Trump is expected to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron, despite recently criticizing Macron and other allies fornot doing enough to support effortsrelated to the conflict and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Macron, this year's summit host, invited the leaders of three countries outside the G7 — Egypt, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates — to participate in a session on the Middle East on Tuesday, when Iran is expected to be a central focus.
"The aim will be to assess the implications of this agreement, support for Lebanon, the long-term reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and, of course, reaching a deal on Iran's nuclear and ballistic (missile) programs," Macron said in avideo posted on social mediaSunday evening.

(TNND) —President Donald Trump is wrapping up his final day at the G7 summit in the French Alps on Wednesday after spending much of thegathering focused on a tentative agreementaimed at ending the conflict with Iran.
A news conference is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. before Trump departs for a visit and dinner at the Palace of Versailles in Paris.
Trump on Tuesday teased that he would hold a news conference "in a couple of days" andread the proposed 60-day Iran ceasefire agreementword-for-word, saying he was waiting for a "formal setting" to release the full text.
However, he stressed Wednesday that the agreement remains unfinished and warned that if negotiations break down, military action could resume.
"If I don't like it, we'll go back to shooting at them, dropping bombs," Trump said.
Vice President JD Vance said Monday that he expects the text of the memorandum, which has already been signed digitally, to be released this week. Switzerland's Foreign Ministry said a formal signing ceremony is planned for Friday at the Bürgenstock resort near Lucerne.

President Trump is leaving soon for France for a G7 summit that is likely to be dominated by the escalating conflict with Iran.
Trump will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron, among other European leaders, who he has squabbled with over trade, Ukraine and security since his return to office.
The U.S. president is also scheduled to met as a group and individually with key Middle Eastern leaders and attend a working session with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and G7 leaders, said senior U.S. administration officials not authorized to speak publicly.
One official added that Trump will "meet with G7 leaders to address key issues of shared importance, including economic growth and development, supply chain resilience, illegal immigration and artificial intelligence."

President Donald Trump arrived in France on Monday to meet with top global superpowers at the annual G7 summit.
Held in Évian-les-Bains, France, from June 15 to 17, this is the president's fifth time attending the conference in person and comes amid heightened global turmoil, with the conflicts in Iran and Ukraine expected to loom large over the summit's economic and geopolitical agenda.
This is the first time the G7 leaders are meeting in-person since the start of the U.S.-Iran war, which has now reached its 15th week and continues to impact the global economy, with increases in fossil fuel and oil and gas prices. The war had caught U.S. allies off guard and some were unwilling to heed the president's requests for help, which has created tensions between Trump and some G7 leaders.
There is expected to be a focus on the Middle East, with Trump scheduled to participate in bilateral meetings with Egypt, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, according to a senior administration official.
While the past week saw significant military escalati…

U.S. President Donald Trump has targeted the leaders of France, Germany, Italy and the UK with jabs and jibes of late. He’s been very unhappy that allies haven’t joined his war with Israel against Iran. So as they meet this week at a G7 summit in France, the chemistry between Trump and leaders he’s taken issue with is being scrutinized. (AP Production by John Leicester and Alexander Turnbull )

(TNND) —President Donald Trump arrived in Europe on Monday for the annual G7 summit, where he will meet with fellow world leaders after announcing an agreement that he says willbring an end to the U.S. war with Iran.
Trump is expected to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron in Évian-les-Bains, France, despite recently criticizing Macron and other allies fornot doing enough to support effortsrelated to the conflict and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

Group of Seven summit
on Wednesday threw their support behind U.S. President Donald Trump’s

The leaders of the U.K., France, Germany, Italy and Canada also issued a joint statement welcoming the agreement as a "moment of oppo…
