Britain
will become the first country in the world to make it impossible
for children to take, share or view naked photos on their smartphone,
Keir Starmer
has announced.
In a major speech at London Tech Week, the PM gave firms like Apple and

He said: "When it comes to the safety of our children, standing by is not an option."
It comes amid speculation that a ban on under-16s using social media could be announced within weeks. Law enforcement agencies warn urgent action is needed to tackle sextortion - which sees young people pressured into sharing explicit images and then being blackmailed.
