A KMC notification, issued on Saturday, stated that it “has decided that the road known as Suhrawardy Avenue in KMC area will be named and henceforth be known as Gopal Mukherjee Road.” This is the first official instance of name change of a road in the city after BJP came to power and had the plans in its list.
