The outlet reported that a brief suicide note recovered expressed love for Ria’s parents and frustration over academic struggles. Police are investigating the death, with family and neighbours reporting no significant behavioural changes, Times of India added.

According to New Indian Express, a 36‑year‑old man named Govindharaj hacked his three daughters to death before killing himself in Veppagounderputhur near Rasipuram early on Tuesday. The report said Govindharaj was under immense financial strain, with outstanding debt of around Rs 14 lakh borrowed from various sources, and that he was employed as a borewell manager in a private company. He lived with his wife Bharathi and their four children – three daughters aged five to eight and an 18‑month‑old son. The incident occurred around 3 am on Tuesday while Govindharaj’s wife and son were asleep in one of the rooms of their house; officials suspect he locked the room’s door from the outside. New Indian Express stated that Govindharaj allegedly hacked his three daughters to death using a sickle before dying by suicide, and that officials are investigating all possible angles of the incident.
