Six people were killed and three injured in a collision between a multi‑utility vehicle (MUV) and a truck in Karnataka’s Uttara Kannada, The Hindu reported. The deceased were identified as driver Sanjay Angadi (33), Basavaraj (48), Abhishek Eshwar (28), Akshay (26), Abhishek (26) and Manjunath Chulaki (32), all from Dharwad, according to the same source.

Nine people died after a pick‑up van fell into a well in Maharashtra’s Solapur, Times of India reported. Among the dead were five women and four children. The vehicle was carrying fifteen people when it veered off the road and plunged into a well near Tandulwadi village; seven other occupants sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital. Authorities are investigating the cause of the driver losing control, the outlet added.

At least four people were killed in a multi‑vehicle collision on the Bengaluru‑Chennai National Highway near Hosur in Krishnagiri district, Tamil Nadu, DTNext reported. The accident occurred around 4 a.m. near the Perandapalli forest stretch. A speeding car rammed into a pickup truck in front of it, triggering a chain reaction involving several vehicles. Police said the car, travelling from Hosur toward Krishnagiri, collided with the pickup first, and a lorry trailing behind later crashed into the wreckage.
