Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Britain on Sunday for defence talks with the leaders of the United Kingdom, France and Germany. Leaders called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to agree to an immediate and complete cease‑fire with the current line of contact, according to GDELT.

Russian strikes on the same day killed five people and hit a nuclear site in Ukraine, damaging a storage centre for spent nuclear fuel in the Chernobyl exclusion zone, as reported by multiple outlets.

Al‑Arabiya reported that radiation levels at the damaged nuclear facility remained within normal limits after the attack. The outlet also said Kyiv is asking its Western allies for more ammunition deliveries for its anti‑air defences and that Zelensky is seeking ways for the allies to further pressure Russia to end the fighting. According to AP News, Zelensky arrived at NATO Secretary‑General Mark Rutte’s residence in Brussels on Monday to discuss efforts to end Russia’s war in Ukraine, with European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also joining the Brussels meeting.
