According to Bluesky, Ghalibaf said the assets and bases of the US and Israel are legitimate targets for Iran. TASS reported that Ghalibaf said the US and Israel would have to pay the price for their choices.

Legal scholar Marko Milanovic stated the legal status of Israel’s war in Gaza is ambiguous and noted that the question of whether Israel has the right to defend itself rests on contested assumptions. He also wrote that it is reasonably clear the US and UK committed aggression when they invaded Iraq in 2003, and that it is even clearer that Russia committed aggression against Ukraine.
