Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked the public for their cooperation during the West Asia/Middle East crisis. On the same day, India conducted a successful test of an indigenous long‑range land‑attack cruise missile that was developed jointly by DRDO laboratories.

In remarks later in June, Modi said India had achieved a major success in the aviation sector, noted progress in self‑reliance especially in defence and aviation, observed a decline in gold purchases, and highlighted noteworthy fuel conservation.

According to GDELT, India is aiming to become a developed nation with a new manufacturing ecosystem described as “from chips to ships.” The same source reported that the country is working on 6G technology to lead global innovation, that it has grown from a few hundred to over two lakh registered startups, and that more than 4,000 new ventures launch every month, making it the world’s third‑largest startup ecosystem. GDELT also said startups are thriving in every district, not only in major metropolitan areas.

GDELT added that hundreds of startups are working on advanced sectors such as defence and space, and that an Indian space startup is preparing to launch a satellite on its own rocket in the near future. Future milestones for India include the Gaganyaan mission and plans for its own space station.
