Over 2.2 million pre-medical aspirants are set to retake the NEET-UG exam on June 21, 2026, after the original exam was cancelled due to allegations of a paper leak. The re-exam is being administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA). According to Times of India, over 500,000 security personnel have been deployed, biometric checks and facial recognition are being used, and question paper setters are under strict isolation. The Hindu reported that CCTV monitoring and signal jammers have been installed at all exam centres. Times of India also stated that social media is being monitored to prevent misinformation.
