Five men were arrested in Bengaluru in connection with a woman's alleged gang‑rape at a party, and police confirmed that all five accused were taken into custody. The woman had been invited to the party by an acquaintance named Somasekhar.

According to english.publictv.in, the party took place in Maruthinagar, under the limits of the Talaghattapura police station, and the victim is a resident of Devanahalli. The same source said Somasekhar works at a security agency.

The woman reached the location around 7 pm by Rapido, english.publictv.in reported. After consuming a drink, she became drowsy and was allegedly assaulted while semi‑conscious, as reported by timesofindia.
