India holds the BRICS Chairship for the fourth time in 2026, having previously held it in 2012, 2016, and 2021, according to Gdelt. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian confirmed Wang Yi's attendance upon invitation, as reported by Rediff.com.
