The European Union and India concluded negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement on 27 January 2026. The agreement is expected to eliminate or reduce tariffs on over 96% of EU goods exports to India and potentially double EU goods exports to India by 2032. Trade between the two regions reached €120 billion in goods in 2024 and €59.7 billion in services in 2023. The agreement includes provisions on trade in goods and services, digital trade, telecom, financial services, intellectual property rights, and regulatory practices. It is expected to significantly enhance manufacturing cooperation, investment flows, and supply chain integration between India and the EU.
