Police responded to a 911 call reporting an aggravated assault at a home on the 300 block of Queen Alexandria Lane at approximately 10:10 p.m. on Saturday. Two women, aged 30 and 26, and a 2-year-old child were found dead at the scene. According to abcnews.com, all three victims had multiple gunshot wounds. A red 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage belonging to one of the victims was taken from the scene and later found abandoned in North Jackson on Sunday night. Investigators are processing the vehicle for evidence. Jackson Police Chief RaShall Brackney described the scene of the triple homicide. Neighbors near the home were shaken by the killings. A resident of Jackson said a person committed a triple homicide involving a toddler. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is the investigating agency, according to wdam.com, and the Jackson County District Attorney’s office is handling public statements about the case. The Jackson County District Attorney’s office stated that multiple law enforcement agencies continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the person or persons responsible for the acts related to the triple homicide are brought to justice. State Line Mayor Willie Miller, according to wdam.com, said one of the families of the victims is related to him and that the community is scared and torn apart.
