US forces struck military sites on Qeshm Island in Iran, according to IndiaTVNews. The US airstrike was the third strike since the April ceasefire, reported by Al‑Monitor. The BBC reported that the US and Iran exchanged strikes, each accusing the other of violating the ceasefire.

DW reported that the US shot down Iranian drones and struck a control centre to maintain the ceasefire. Al Jazeera reported US strikes on boats and missile sites in Iran, while France 24 reported US strikes on southern Iran on Thursday. The Guardian reported US bombing of Iranian targets aimed at missile launchers and efforts to lay fresh mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

Daily Sabah reported that the US carried out renewed missile strikes on Iran on Monday, jeopardising a fragile cease‑fire and diplomatic progress. Al Arabiya reported that US Central Command said Iran was given a chance to honor the ceasefire but elected not to, and IndiaTVNews reported that US strikes near Geruk and Qeshm Island targeted air‑defence systems, a drone ground‑control station and attack drones.

Al Arabiya reported that Iran said it was determined to defend its sovereignty after the latest US strikes. Al Arabiya also reported that Iran condemned US airstrikes on monitoring and surveillance facilities on its southern coast, calling the US army “terrorist”. Al Jazeera reported that Iran characterised the US attacks as a gross violation and said it was prepared to respond.
