The Telangana Transport Minister flagged off 60 electric buses, according to The Hindu. Other reports state the minister flagged off 65 new electric buses from the Ranigunj depot under the 500 Low-Floor City Bus Project. According to New Indian Express, the project includes 450 non-AC and 50 AC low-floor e-buses, with 325 buses already delivered and the remaining 175 scheduled for induction by January 2026. The new buses are expected to reduce congestion, noise, and air pollution, and will operate on major routes linking Secunderabad, Kondapur, Isnapur, Borabanda, Ramayampet, Gachibowli, and Miyapur, connecting nearly 373 colonies. The Ranigunj depot is the fifth depot in Telangana operating under the project.

The merger of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) with the government will be undertaken after elections for the recognised trade union, according to corroborated reporting. Elections for the union will be conducted shortly, and the merger process will follow consultations with the elected representatives. Precautions are being taken during the merger process. The minister advised employees not to be worried and to correct misunderstandings about the merger, and assured that all issues concerning RTC employees would be resolved.
