Accounts differ on Platner’s current campaign status. One set of reports, attributed to other+western, maintains that Platner remains the Democratic nominee. Another report, attributed to other, says Platner dropped out of the Maine Senate race on Wednesday after a former partner accused him of sexually assaulting her in 2021.
