The Israeli military killed several armed militants in southern Syria on Saturday, according to corroborated reports. It has occupied a self-declared 'security zone' in southern Syria since late 2024. According to The Hindu, the Israeli military stated its presence in the zone is intended to remove threats to Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers.
