Gautami Tadimalla resigned from the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), stepping down from primary membership and the post of Deputy Propaganda Secretary. According to The Hindu, she cited prevailing political circumstances and a desire to get involved in social service as reasons for her resignation.

The Hindu also reported that S Vaigai Selvan resigned from the AIADMK. In his resignation letter, he sharply criticised Edappadi K Palaniswami and claimed that the party’s decision to align with the DMK after its electoral defeat had weakened the AIADMK’s identity. Selvan said resigning from the party caused him immense mental anguish.

In Los Angeles, 81‑year‑old James Handy was found unconscious with a stab wound to his chest in the front yard of his girlfriend’s home. He was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after being found.
