Telangana is undertaking a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, with Booth Level Officers tasked with visiting every household to verify voter status. During the enumeration phase, voters need not submit any documents and may provide details of themselves or their relatives from the previous SIR list. New voters wishing to register can apply using Form-6, with online submission available through the ECISVEEP portal and the ECINET mobile application.

According to siasat.com, nearly 43.3 percent of voters in Hyderabad are mapped with the 2002 SIR list, and nearly 40 percent may receive notices due to anomalies in the mapping. Anomalies being checked include name mismatch, age gaps with parents less than 15 years or over 50 years, age gaps with maternal or paternal grandparents less than 40 years, more than six voters mapped to a single voter in the 2002 list, and age gaps between siblings mapped to a voter in the 2002 list of less than nine months.

During the notice phase, voters are required to submit documents if they remain unmapped or if logical discrepancies surface. According to timesofindia, voters may be marked absent if their houses are locked or if they are part of a migrant population. Eligible voters can seek inclusion during the claims and objections period.
