Hong Kong police launched a drug‑trafficking operation called "AMBERFLOCK" that ran from Nov. 2 to Nov. 29, according to The Standard. The operation began on a Thursday, as reported by the South China Morning Post (SCMP). Reports differ on the scale of arrests: SCMP said Hong Kong police arrested four men, while The Standard reported that police arrested 120 individuals.

The case involved two mainland Chinese men who were recruited by a syndicate through online gaming platforms, SCMP reported. Officers also intercepted a suspicious 21‑year‑old man from the mainland who attempted to flee in Tsim Sha Tsui, according to SCMP. The Standard noted that the youngest suspect was 14 years old.

Seizure figures also vary. SCMP reported that police seized 9.5 kg of suspected drugs, valued at about HK$7.2 million, and recovered 399 g of ketamine at a flat. The Standard, however, said police seized 493 kg of narcotics, valued at HK$280 million, and listed the seized items as etomidate, cannabis, THC and CBD products, cocaine, ketamine, heroin, magic mushrooms, methamphetamine and "LSD stamps".
