The Jammu Development Authority conducted a large-scale demolition operation along the Ring Road corridor, removing constructions built without official permission. One report stated that more than 30 such structures were demolished, according to The Hindu. The structures removed, according to m.dailyhunt.in, violated approved land use norms and building regulations, were structurally unsound, and had encroached upon critical areas. Preliminary assessments indicated that the constructions were potentially dangerous. The demolition operation was carried out by the Enforcement Wing of the Jammu Development Authority with assistance from local administration and law enforcement agencies. According to The Hindu, JDA vice-chairman Rupesh Kumar said public land should not be illegally occupied.
