SpaceX achieved a valuation of more than $2 trillion, surpassing the market values of Tesla and Meta Platforms, two members of the group informally known as the 'Magnificent Seven.' The valuation increase occurred ahead of what is reported as the biggest initial public offering in U.S. history. The term 'Magnificent Seven' is not a formal market category but a shorthand label coined by strategists, investors, and the media to capture the hottest big stocks at a given moment. Shay Boloor, chief market strategist at Futurum Equities, said it becomes very hard to keep using Mag 7 as the clean shorthand for market leadership because one of the most important companies in the world would immediately be outside the label. The 'Magnificent Seven' label may need to change due to the emergence of trillion-dollar contenders such as OpenAI and Anthropic waiting in the IPO wings.
