The government increased export duties on diesel and aviation turbine fuel (ATF). According to The Times of India, the export duty on diesel was increased to Rs 14 per litre and on ATF to Rs 12.5 per litre, with the revised rates set to take effect from June 16. The export duty on petrol remains unchanged at Rs 1.5 per litre, according to the same source. According to The Indian Express, the export duty on diesel was increased to Rs 55.5 per litre and on ATF to Rs 42 per litre, with the changes effective immediately. The Indian Express also reported that the export duty on petrol is nil. Export duties on diesel and ATF were imposed from March 27 to reduce exports and support domestic supply. Public sector oil marketing companies have not hiked diesel and petrol prices in the domestic market.
