Ayodhya police have intensified their investigation into the Ram Temple donation embezzlement case, according to multiple news outlets.

The police intend to seek custody of three more individuals, reported the Hindu. They also plan to question accused Ramshankar Yadav, alias Tinnu, while he is in jail, Times of India reported. Times of India added that Tinnu had a key to the donation counting room, potentially enabling him to manipulate cash offerings.

Investigators are examining claims of unrestricted access to administrative areas because of proximity to a former trustee, and how the accused coordinated movements to evade CCTV surveillance during counting, both reported by Times of India.

Police are questioning the family members of all eight arrested accused as part of efforts to trace the money trail, news.abplive.com reported. An FIR was registered against the eight accused after the Special Investigation Team submitted its preliminary report, the same source said. All named accused have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody until June 29, and police teams reached the residences of the accused—including Manish Yadav, Tinnu Yadav, Anukalp Mishra and Avinash Shukla—to question their families, news.abplive.com added.

Investigators are also collecting details of the accused persons' properties, investments, jewellery and other assets from their family members to determine whether they possess wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income, according to news.abplive.com.
