Ojukwu Transport Limited (OTL) has called on the Inspector-General of Police to intervene in attempts to enforce a court judgment currently under appeal in a legal dispute over several properties in Lagos. OTL asserts that the 2022 Lagos High Court judgment in Suit No. LD/1539/2012 is under appeal and should not be enforced pending the outcome of appellate proceedings. The enforcement efforts OTL opposes are allegedly being carried out by Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu and her legal representatives. A 2018 judgment in Suit No. LD/794/2011, delivered by Justice Adedayo Oyebanji, awarded Ojukwu Transport Limited possession of its Lagos properties, including No. 29 Oyinkan Abayomi Drive, Ikoyi. According to therecorder.com.ng, by July 2022, OTL had executed a warrant of possession for all its Lagos properties under the 2018 judgment. Afamefuna and Nwachukwu, sons of Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, filed a joinder application on December 16, 2024, to join Suit No. LD/794/2011, and the Lagos State High Court scheduled March 10, 2025, to hear the withdrawal of that application. The late Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu was involved in Suit No. LD/794/2011 until his passing in 2011. On May 1, 2025, officers from the Nigeria Police Zone 2 Command took control of the property at No. 4 Macpherson Avenue, Ikoyi, Lagos, and the property has remained under their control since that date, according to sawabiyanews.com.ng.
