A vegetation fire dubbed the Saratoga Fire broke out in Saratoga Springs, Utah. Smoke from the fire was visible from Eagle Mountain. Some reports refer to the event as the Stillwater Fire, stating it ignited south of Saratoga Springs, Utah. The fire's location is described differently across sources: one account places it 5 miles west of Mahogany St & Roman Street, Utah; another says it was south of Silverlake and west of the Saratoga Springs Temple; a third places it on the north side of Lake Mountain west of the LDS Temple. According to one source, the fire was 2 acres in size and moving rapidly. No structures were threatened and no evacuations were necessary.
