India told the United Nations that Pakistan is "a living example of a Frankenstein state, which is shocked when its own monster bites back", as it accused Islamabad of "hosting, training and deploying" terrorists as state policy. The remarks were made by Anupama Singh, First Secretary at India's Permanent Mission to the UN, on Wednesday after Pakistan and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation raised Jammu and Kashmir during the Interactive Dialogue on the UN High Commissioner's annual report.
Singh said India was exercising its right of reply and "categorically reject[s] the baseless and malicious allegations made by Pakistan". She also rejected the OIC's references to Jammu and Kashmir, saying, "Jammu and Kashmir was, is, and will always remain an integral and inalienable part of India. The only unresolved issue is Pakistan's illegal occupation of Indian territories and their return."
She said Pakistan's sitting Defence Minister "boasts of hosting, training and deploying terrorists as state policy" and added, "This should surprise no one. An illegal and illegitimate occupation can be sustained only through…

‘Look inwards’: India tears into Pakistan over Karachi blast allegations
India has firmly rejected Pakistan's claims linking it to the recent Karachi terrorist attack. The Ministry of External Affairs urged Islamabad to address its internal terror infrastructure and cease using terrorism as a state policy, rather than making baseless accusations. The incident involved militants attacking a paramilitary headquarters, resulting in casualties. Pakistan has vowed retaliation and previously conducted strikes in Afghanistan, which Kabul denies.

New Delhi:
India on Friday lodged a strong protest with Pakistan regarding its plan to hold "General Elections" for the "Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly" in the illegally occupied Indian territory. The
Ministry of External Affairs
(MEA) in a statement said, "Government of India reiterated its well-known position that the entire Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, including the so-called 'Gilgit-Baltistan,' are integral and inalienable parts of India as a result of the complete, legal, and irrevocable accession of Jammu & Kashmir to India in 1947." The so-called Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly was formed in 2009. It has a total of 33 seats.
Notably, the elections are scheduled to be conducted in the Pakistan-Occupied Gilgit Baltistan region on June 7 this year, however, India has categorically rejected Islamabad's move. The MEA pointed out grave human rights violations in the region occupied by Pakistan.
The Government of India further emphasized that such endeavours by Pakistan cannot mask the underlying issues of grave human rights violations, political repression, economic exploitation and denial of freedom…

NEW DELHI: India launched a sharp attack on Pakistan at the 62nd Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), describing it as a “Frankenstein state” that nurtured terrorism as state policy and was now facing the consequences of its own actions.Exercising India’s right of reply during the interactive dialogue on the UN high commissioner’s annual report, first secretary at India’s permanent mission to the United Nations, Anupama Singh, rejected Pakistan’s…

Geneva [Switzerland], June 19 (ANI): Calling the Indus Waters Treaty "outdated" and unsuited to present-day realities, India strongly rebuked Pakistan at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), asserting that a country which continues to sponsor terrorism cannot expect the benefits of cooperation founded on goodwill and friendship.
Speaking during India's right of reply at the 62nd Session of the UN Human Rights Council, First Secretary at the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations, Anupama Singh, rejected Pakistan's allegations against India and criticised Islamabad's repeated attempts to raise bilateral issues at international forums.
"Our position on the Indus Water Treaty is well known. It defies logic that a state which exports terror as an instrument of policy continues to demand the privileges of cooperation predicated on goodwill and friendship. It is equally undeniable that the treaty is now outdated. No technical arrangement can remain frozen in time while the world around it is transformed. A treaty negotiated in 1960 cannot be treated as a perpetual entitlement which is i…

India's First Secretary at the Permanent Mission to the United Nations, Anupama Singh, launched a sharp attack on Pakistan at the 62nd Session of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC). Singh said that Pakistan nurtured and deployed terrorism while falsely portraying itself as a victim. She described Pakistan as a "Frankenstein state" shocked by the consequences of its own policies.
"This is the country where the sitting Defence Minister boasts of hosting, training and deploying terrorists as a state policy, and yet Pakistan calls itself a victim of terrorism, indeed a paradox which only Pakistan could sustain. It is a living example of a Frankenstein state, which is shocked when its own monster bites back," Singh said, as quoted by ANI.
She rejected the "baseless and malicious allegations made by Pakistan." "We also categorically reject the references to J&K made by the OIC. Pakistan's propaganda is designed to mask its domestic failures and support for terrorism. Its misuse of the OIC Coordinator's role only reinforces this deception," Singh said.
