A National Lok Adalat, which was held in various courts in Yadgir district on July 8, has succeeded in settling 10,440 cases pending before courts resulting in a settlement amount of ₹10.72 crore involved in those cases, according to District and Sessions Judge and Chairman of District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) Nanjundaiah and Senior Civil Judge and Member Secretary of DLSA Ravindra Honole.
In a release here on Tuesday, Mr. Nanjundaiah said that a total 10 Benches were established in courts across the district where litigant public got their cases settled amicably.
Out of 10,440 cases, 18 were settled before the Bench established in the District and Sessions Court followed by 987 cases in the Senior Civil Judge Court, 601 in the Senior Civil Judge Court in Shahapur, 772 in the Senior Civil Judge Court in Shorapur, 1,266 in the JMFC in Yadgir, 1,389 in the JMFC in Shahapur, 1,131 in the JMFC in Shorapur, 1,250 in the Additional Civil Judge Court and JMFC in Yadgir, 1,228 in the Additional Civil Judge Court and JMFC in Shahapur and 1,798 cases in the Additional Civil Judge Court and JMFC in Shorapur.

2.42 crore cases settled across in country in 3rd National Lok Adalat
A total of over 2.42 crore cases were resolved across the country in the 3rd National Lok Adalat of 2025 held on Saturday, the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) said in a statement.
The Lok Adalat was organised in Taluks, Districts and High Courts across 29 States and 8 Union Territories under the leadership of Chief Justice of India (CJI) BR Gavai, NALSA Patron-in-Chief, and Justice Surya Kant, Supreme Court Judge and NALSA Executive Chairman.
According to the preliminary reports received till 6.30 p.m., a total of 2,42,55,036 cases were resolved, which included 2,10,44,809 pre-litigation matters and 32,10,227 pending cases.
The settlement amount involved exceeded Rs 7,817.62 crore. The statement added that the final figures are likely to go up once the reports from various State Legal Services Authorities are compiled.

The Second National Lok Adalat of 2025 saw 11,69,083 of the 18,34,231 cases pending in various courts in the state being disposed of. Around Rs 1,188.92 crores of settlements were made in these disposed-off cases, most of which pertained to motor accident compensation, civil suits, cheque return complaints under the Negotiable Instruments Act, matrimonial disputes, industrial disputes, etc. The Lok Adalat was organised across the state under the aegis of the National Legal Service Authority (NALSA).

As part of a Statewide legal initiative led by the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority, Bengaluru, the
National Lok Adalat
was held on Saturday across all Law Courts in Karnataka, including those in Mysuru district. The event aimed to settle both pre-litigation and pending cases through mutual compromise.
In Mysuru city and its taluks, a total of 1,27,153 cases were pending, comprising 61,193 civil and 60,932 criminal matters. Of these, 39,640 cases were identified as fit for resolution through compromise.
During the Lok Adalat, 22,161 cases were taken up and 11,674 were successfully settled.
Among the noteworthy outcomes, 44 estranged couples reached reconciliation in family dispute cases across Courts in Mysuru city and taluks.
The total value of disputes resolved through mutual settlement amounted to Rs. 72.24 crore, reflecting the effectiveness of the Lok Adalat process in easing the burden on the judiciary.

The 2nd National Lok Adalat of 2026 was conducted across various subordinate courts in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday, resulting in the disposal of 212 cases and settlement amounts exceeding ₹3.84 crore.
The programme was organised by the Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA), Itanagar, as part of the nationwide alternative dispute resolution initiative aimed at reducing court pendency and promoting amicable settlement of disputes.

10,003 Cases Identified for National Lok Adalat in Erstwhile West Godavari
Kakinada:The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), West Godavari, has identified 10,003 compoundable cases across the erstwhile West Godavari district for settlement during the National Lok Adalat scheduled to be held on July 11.
Principal District Judge and DLSA chairperson S. Sridevi said efforts were underway to resolve the identified cases through mediation.
Addressing mediapersons in Eluru on Saturday, she urged litigants who had not yet received notices to approach their respective courts to facilitate settlement of their cases.
She said amicable settlements through the Lok Adalat would help litigants save both time and money while reducing the pendency of cases in courts.
Sridevi said 9,530 cases were settled during the National Lok Adalat held in March. She added that litigants unable to participate in person could opt for online settlement of their cases.
She advised those facing difficulties in the settlement process to contact the authorities through the helpline numbers 08812-224455 or 15100.
