LANZHOU, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck Longxi County in Dingxi City in northwest China's Gansu Province at 5:49 a.m. Saturday, the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) said.
The epicenter was monitored at 34.91 degrees north latitude and 104.58 degrees east longitude. The earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km, the CENC said.
The quake was strongly felt in Longxi County, Zhangxian County, Weiyuan County and Lintao County in Dingxi City and Wushan County in Tianshui City.
The quake had left nine people injured, 4,328 houses damaged, and 7,812 people relocated as of midday Saturday in Longxi and Zhangxian counties of Dingxi City, according to the quake relief command center of Dingxi.
On the way to Hualin Village in Wenfeng Township, Longxi County, a region that was relatively heavily impacted, some sections of the road were scattered with fallen debris and rocks, but traffic was still flowing. Rescue workers, including firefighters and police officers, could be seen directing traffic and conducting risk assessments.

BEIJING (AP) — A 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck south China’s Guangxi region early Monday, killing two people, toppling buildings and triggering the evacuations of thousands, state media reported.
Four others were injured, while more than 7,000 residents were evacuated from Liuzhou city.
The search for several missing residents wrapped up around midday Monday, after the last trapped person, a 91-year-old man, was found alive in good condition, authorities said.

One person was killed and four suffered minor injuries after a 5.2-magnitude earthquake hit Jingxi, a county-level city in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, at 9:18 am Monday.
The casualties were reported in Daxin County near the epicenter.

BEIJING -- The China Earthquake Administration (CEA) on Thursday launched a level-IV emergency service response to the 5.4-magnitude earthquake that struck the county of Xinlong in Ganzi Tibetan autonomous prefecture, Southwest China's Sichuan province.
According to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC), the earthquake hit at 1:17 pm on Thursday at a depth of 10 km.
Following the earthquake, the CEA immediately heard briefings from the CENC and the Sichuan Earthquake Agency -- and urged strengthened monitoring and continuous assessment of the situation.
A working team from the Sichuan Earthquake Agency has been dispatched to affected areas to support local governments in emergency response efforts.

The epicentre was about 140 kilometres southeast of the provincial capital Lanzhou.
None of the reported injuries appear to be serious, and no casualties have been reported yet.
Neighbouring counties like Zhangxian, Weiyuan, Lintao in Dingxi, and Wushan in Tianshui also felt tremors. In the hours following the initial shock, 42 aftershocks were recorded, including two in the magnitude 4.0 to 4.9 range, raising concern among local residents about further structural safety.
Some residents also reported feeling tremors as far away as Xi’an, around 400 km to the east.

BEIJING, June 29 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Emergency Management activated a Level-IV national emergency response for geological disasters in the country's southwestern Sichuan Province on Monday, following a 5.5-magnitude earthquake.
No deaths were reported, while 13 people sustained minor injuries as of 3:30 a.m. Monday after the quake struck Gaoxian County in Yibin City, according to local authorities.
The ministry urged local authorities to guard against secondary geological hazards, strengthen coordination, monitor disaster risks in the affected areas, enhance inspections and early warnings, and relocate people from danger zones promptly to minimize casualties.
