Pentagon releases new batch of UFO files, with dozens more documents
Washington
— The Pentagon on Friday released a new group of documents and videos related to UFOs, or UAPs, the third release since the government began a
wave of new disclosures
last month.
The latest batch includes 53 documents and 10 images from the CIA, FBI, NASA, the Department of Defense and other unspecified agencies, along with six videos and three NASA audio recordings. The videos show orb-like objects in the sky, while a set of images and clips offer "artistic interpretations" of reported sightings.
Several of the documents detail encounters reported by federal law enforcement officers in 2023, in which five agents reported seeing strange orbs on the horizon. One agent recounted their partner asking, "Are you seeing this?" as a glowing orb lit up the sky.
What's in the latest files?
The Pentagon uploaded the files to its
UFO website
.
Four of the videos show eyewitness footage of strange encounters, a shift from previous releases, which were dominated by military footage. The new videos, which were collected by the FBI, include details from interviews with the witnesses.

Pentagon Launches Portal On UFOs, Four-Feet-Tall Humanoids
WASHINGTON, DC
– The Pentagon has released a large cache of previously classified files on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), revealing decades of unexplained aerial sightings reported by astronauts, military personnel, intelligence officials, and civilians.
US officials said the released material does not constitute proof of extraterrestrial life, and many incidents remain officially “unresolved” because of limited evidence, missing data or possible alternative explanations, including weather effects, drones, balloons, and sensor distortions.
The declassified comprises more than 160 files, including military videos, infrared imagery, FBI memos, NASA transcripts, and eyewitness accounts dating from the 1940s through 2026.
The released material includes military infrared videos showing fast-moving unidentified objects, radar tracks of unusual aerial shapes and objects that reportedly changed direction at high speed.
The files document hundreds of unexplained aerial incidents across the globe, including sightings over Nor…

Washington
— The Pentagon on Friday released a new batch of 64 files related to UFOs, or UAPs, unveiling a second tranche of records that includes a 2025 first-hand account from an intelligence officer about an experience that left him "virtually speechless."
The files, which President Trump ordered to be made public in an executive order earlier this year, can be viewed on the
Pentagon's UFO website
. Friday's tranche includes six PDF files, seven audio files and 51 video files. The videos show footage of UAPs, or unidentified anomalous phenomena, from military aircraft, with each clip accompanied by a detailed description.
The release comes two weeks after the Pentagon
uploaded the first group
of documents, photos and videos to the new site. Those files included declassified pages from the FBI's UFO case files, reports of strange encounters by military pilots, diplomatic cables about incidents around the world and photos from NASA missions.
What's in the new files?
The 51 videos included in the second release include the type of grainy infrared footage captured by military cameras and sensors that has bec…

UFO enthusiasts just got a big old bone to sink their teeth into.
The Pentagon released its
first tranche
of declassified "UFO files" on Friday (May 8), responding to a directive that
President Trump issued in February
.
The new release consists of 161 files, most of which are PDFs recounting investigative reports and eyewitness testimonials (including from a few
Apollo
astronauts, who saw some strange things near
the moon
). But there's also quite a bit of imagery, including nearly 30 videos, which feature a range of intriguing unidentified flying objects — or unidentified anomalous phenomena (
UAP
), as they were recently rebranded.

Slightly less blurry, a bit more intriguing, and a few are in color, but still … no E.T.
On Friday, the Pentagon released its second batch of files documenting unidentified anomalous phenomena.
The drop includes more than 50 previously classified videos and documents related to UAPs. Recordings include video that’s notably clearer than the first batch of footage,
which was criticized
for largely consisting of blurry orbs.
According to
one written account
, a senior U.S. intelligence officer last year described “two large orbs” that were “orange with a white or yellow center” and “emitted light in all directions.” After fighters were scrambled, the officer added, “the same orbs we had encountered were now ‘chasing’ the fighters … We were virtually speechless after these observations.”
