The exposure threatens the carefully negotiated business of building the iPhone, which Apple assembles from a thicket of suppliers worldwide. It could also upset Apple and its relationship with Tata given most of the supplier arrangements are fiercely protected by Apple, and could also hand rivals, counterfeiters and its own vendors a view of who makes what.

Update, June 30, 2026 (04:30 AM ET):Evan Blass hasreactivated his old X account(under a different username) to deny his association with the mentioned “@evleaks” X account that shared the iPhone 18 Pro leak. We’ve followed Evan’s older account in the past, and can thus confirm that the “@_evanblass_” handle belongs to him.
Who runs the “@evleaks” account, then? That is now a mystery.

Photos, videos and component lists of the upcoming devices have been circulating on social media after one of Apple's India-based suppliers, Tata Electronics, suffered a data breach last week. Apple is seemingly facing one of the biggest data breaches in its history, and just a few months before the official debut of the iPhone 18 Pro series, photos, a drop-test video, a supplier list, and key phone components have reportedly been leaked by hackers.
Last week, we reported that Tata Electronics, an Apple supplier and iPhone producer in India,
was hit by a data breach
. As a result, it was reported that more than 200,000 trade secrets and confidential documents belonging to Apple and Tesla were stolen by the ransomware group World Leaks. According to
Reuters
, the group has now leaked supplier lists, component details, and photos of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro models on the dark web.
This is easily the biggest leak in Apple's history.
You're looking at the drop test of the iPhone 18 Pro.
Durability seems solid, but it's still surprisingly thick, and the weight remains a concern. The new color looks pretty good, though.

Apple Insiderreported a week agothat confidential data had been stolen from an Indian factory belonging to an Apple supplier named Tata Electronics. It has since become clear that this data actually includes some highly sensitive information and images.Evan Blass, the U.S. leaker who has returned from retirementA person using the @evleaks handle on X posted two videos from the tata breach, apparently showing the iPhone 18 Pro undergoing a drop test; however both of these videos have already been removed from X as of this writing, the account has been suspended as well (see update below).
As is often the case, however, both videos were saved and reshared by other X users. We've embedded both videos directly below. They show the expected iPhone 18 Pro design in a grey color with a camera module similar to that of theiPhone 17 Pro. The dual-tone design on the back has apparently been refined by Apple as far as we can see. It now seems less conspicuous, at least in this color option. The new iPhone apparently survives the drop, though the drop height here is likely only a few centimetres.
In addition to these vi…
