<p>CHAKWAL: Two suspects in the Wednesday night robberies and a fatal shoot-out were killed in an encounter with the Crime Control Department (CCD) Chakwal, while an official of the CCD was arrested under the charge of murdering a minor girl and injuring her brother and father, sources told Dawn on Saturday. </p>
<p>Adeel Ahmed, 39, his wife Dr Sidra Khan, daughter Hania Ahmed, 9, and son Aafan Ahmed, 10, came under attack during a robbery when CCD cops opened fire on their vehicle mistaking it for that of robbers. As a result, Hania died on the spot while Adeel and Aafan were critically injured. Dr Khan remained unhurt. </p>
<p>Meanwhile, the two robbers fled the scene after leaving their motorcycle behind.</p>
<p>In the FIR, the CCD official was not booked, but now the FIR has been amended with the addition of section 302, which led to his arrest.</p>
<p>On Thursday night, both the robbers were killed in an encounter with the CCD. They were identified as Mohammad Abbas, a resident of Shahdara, and Mohammad Feyaz, a resident of Ferozwala.</p>

Four criminals were killed and three Gurugram Police Crime Branch personnel sustained bullet injuries during a high-voltage encounter with armed gangsters in Gurugram's Sushant Lok Phase-2 on Wednesday.
According to the Gurugram Police Commissioner, the criminals were shooters linked to gangster Deepak Nandal, who is currently operating from abroad. Police also recovered five automatic weapons from the accused.
The encounter took place after the shooters allegedly opened fire at the residence of a prominent businessman in the Sushant Lok area before attempting to flee. The businessman had reportedly been receiving repeated extortion messages from the foreign-based gangster.
According to Gurugram Police, Crime Branch teams received information through the police control room about armed criminals travelling in a suspicious Scorpio SUV. CHAKWAL/LAHORE: Crime Control Department chief Sohail Chatha said that CCD personnel reached a location in Chakwal to stop a robbery when a firing incident involving a Pakistani-origin Australian family resulted in the death of a young girl and injuries to two others.
Speaking to the media during a visit to Chakwal, Chatha said the suspects involved in the robbery used a citizen’s vehicle as cover during the operation. He stated that an officer opened fire during the encounter, leading to the tragic incident.
According to the CCD chief, nine-year-old Hania lost her life in the shooting. Meanwhile, her father, Adeel Ahmed, and her brother, Afan, sustained injuries and received medical treatment.
Chatha confirmed that authorities have arrested the officer involved in the firing. He added that police registered a case against the official and assured the family that no individual would receive protection because of their position within the department.

According to sources, Adeel Ahmed, 39, his wife Dr. Sidra Khan, their daughter Hania Ahmed, 9, and son Aafan Ahmed, 10, were travelling when CCD personnel allegedly opened fire on their vehicle after mistaking it for that of fleeing robbers. Hania was killed at the scene, while Adeel and Aafan sustained critical injuries. Dr. Sidra escaped unharmed.

LAHORE - Two robbers were killed while two policemen were injured in an alleged police encounter between the Crime Control Department (CCD) team and the robbers, in the vicinity of Kot Radha Kishan. According to a CCD spokesperson, the injured include ASI Khalid Saleem and Constable Imran, who were shifted to the hospital for immediate medical attention. The slain robbers were the same accused who had allegedly raped a woman in front of her husband during a robbery at a house a few days ago, he added. Since the incident, the police had been searching for the robbers, against whom several serious cases had already been registered. The CCD team had received a tip-off that the wanted suspects were present in the area, which led to a raid. During this, the suspects opened fire, in response to which the police also returned fire.
