ESTE INFORME CONTIENE INFORMACION MUY IMPORTANTE SOBRE SU AGUA DE BEBER.TRADUZCALO O HABLE CON ALGUIEN QUE LO ENTIENDA BIEN. MCMURRAY, Pa. (June 7, 2026)– Pennsylvania American Water routinely monitors the conditions in the distribution system. Early this morning, we experienced a loss of power to a booster pump station that caused a loss of positive water pressure to a water storage tank impacting the Clairton area. A loss of positive water pressure is a signal of the existence of conditions that could allow contamination to enter the distribution system through back-flow by back pressure or back siphonage. As a result, we are issuing a boil water advisory for customers in the affected area. This notice applies to approximately 1,500 customer connections in City of Clairton in Pennsylvania American Water’s Valley District. For a map of the affected area, click here. DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST.Bring all water to a rolling boil, let it boil for one minute, and cool before using; or use bottled water.…

Boil notice issued in Cheswick - TribLIVE.com
Boil notice issued in Cheswick - TribLIVE.com A boil water notice has been issued in Cheswick. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) on Tuesday declared that Stoneybrooke Drive and Wye Oak Drive residents might be at an increased risk of contamination in their water supply. Construction of a new waterline in the area resulted in a lack of positive water pressure, according to DEP’s press release. “A loss of positive water pressure is a signal of the existence of conditions that could allow contamination to enter the distribution system,” the release said. The DEP advised residents on Stoneybrooke Drive and Wye Oak Drive to boil water for one minute and let it cool before drinking or bottling. All affected residents are advised to use boiled or bottled water when washing dishes, brushing teeth, preparing food or making ice. It is unclear how long the boil water advisory might remain in effect. Emma Stanton is a TribLive staff writer. Water tankers available for PA American Water customers impacted by ... Pennsylvania American Water provided a list Tuesday of about two dozen places for customers affected by a boil water advisory to find tankers with safe water. The utility on Monday issued a 48-hour boil water advisory for about 100,000 Allegheny and Washington county customers. The company said water samples taken Monday had “turbidity levels of above the regulatory standard. Because of these high levels of turbidity, there is an increased chance that the water might contain disease-causing organisms.” Turbidity is caused by dissolved particulates in water that refract light and cause the water to appear cloudy and dirty. Turbidity itself is not dangerous, according to the water company, but it does make for a more favorable growth environment for water-borne organisms such as bacteria and viruses. Residents are advised to boil water used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation until further notice. Water should be brought to a boil and kept there at least a minute before use. In the interim, the water company said it is draining affected storage tanks and conducting …
