Trump Crypto Earnings: $1.4B in 2025 OGE Filing
Ahmed Balaha is a journalist and copywriter based in Georgia with a growing focus on blockchain technology, DeFi, AI, privacy, digital assets, and fintech innovation.
Donald Trump’s annual financial disclosure, filed with the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, shows at least $1.4 billion in crypto-related earnings for 2025, drawn from three distinct revenue lines: governance token sales through World Liberty Financial (~$800M), royalties from the TRUMP meme coin (~$635M), and an equity sale tied to Stablecoin Holdco (~$197M).
Reuters estimated the Trump family’s total crypto income since the president returned to the White House at $2.3 billion, placing the OGE filing’s $1.4 billion figure as 2025 income alone, not the cumulative haul.
The distinction matters: the disclosure covers the president personally; the Reuters total sweeps in family-linked entities across the broader ecosystem.
Crypto is now formally, under government reporting requirements, the dominant driver of Trump’s personal income, not real estate, not licensing, not Mar-a-Lago, which itself generated more than $77 million last year.

Donald Trump made more money from crypto in 2025 than from the real estate empire that made him famous. His annual financial disclosure, released by the Office of Government Ethics, reveals over $1 billion in income from digital asset ventures during his first year back in the White House.
Where the money came from
The bulk of Trump’s crypto fortune traces back to two main sources: meme coin royalties and token sales tied to World Liberty Financial, a project he co-founded with his sons.
At least $635 million came from royalties linked to Trump-themed meme coins. The flagship token, Official Trump ($TRUMP), launched on January 17, 2025, just three days before inauguration day. Its initial release put 200 million tokens into public circulation out of a total supply of one billion.

The President of the United States Donald Trump has made a bold statement that he is profiting because “everybody’s profiting.” But the money trail behind his family’s crypto empire tells a more complicated story.
According to federal financial disclosures, released June 30, 2026 by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics as a striking 927-page filing (compared to Vice President JD Vance’s 17-page disclosure), and multiple reviews of those filings, Trump took in nearly $1.2 billion from crypto-linked businesses in 2025. Reuters, using a broader calculation, put the figure at more than $1.4 billion from family crypto ventures, including almost $800 million from World Liberty Financial and $635 million from the $TRUMP memecoin. Some reports have calculated the crypto-business income at nearly $1.2 billion, while others reported more than $1.2 billion in crypto earnings and more than $50 million in Bitcoin holdings.

NEW YORK CITY, New York: President Donald Trump's financial disclosure shows his cryptocurrency ventures generated about US$1.2 billion in revenue last year, overtaking much of the real estate empire that helped build his fortune and highlighting the growing importance of digital assets to his business interests.
The annual disclosure, released on July 1 by the Office of Government Ethics, shows Trump earned more than $500 million through World Liberty Financial, which sells crypto products including governance tokens. Another business, CIC Digital LLC, generated more than $600 million from sales of Trump-branded "meme" coins.
Both the governance tokens and meme coins have fallen sharply in value since they were sold.
The filing also showed Trump earned millions of dollars from licensing consumer products, including Trump-branded Bibles, sneakers and watches. Sales of Trump-branded watches alone generated $4.7 million.
The 927-page disclosure provides a broad overview of the president's finances, though it reports revenue rather than profits. It also reflects the rapid expansion of Trump's business interests since returning to office in…
