The Defence Ministry said today that Taiwan, which China claims as its own territory despite Taipei's objections, has noted that Beijing's Armed Forces routinely operate in the skies and seas around the island in an effort to pressure it to accept Chinese sovereignty.

The "Immediate Combat Readiness Exercise" would start tomorrow and run until Friday (June 26) as part of annual training plans for joint operations in the Taiwanese Armed Forces.
