One-million Bible project ends in northern sector - Modern Ghana One-million Bible project ends in northern sector By Daily Graphic More than 80,000 junior high school (JHS) pupils in the Brong Ahafo Region have benefited from the free distribution of bibles by the Bible Society of Ghana (BSG), under the One-million Bible Project. According to Rev. Charles Adu Twumasi, Northern Sector Manager of the Bible Society of Ghana, the project was initiated by the society to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Ghana's independence in the year 2007.  It was also aimed at exposing the youth to the word of God in order  to transform them into worthy ambassadors of Christ and responsible citizens in future. Rev. Twumasi also said more than GH¢8 million was spent on the project throughout the country. At a special thanksgiving service held at the Christ the King Cathedral in Sunyani to mark the end of the project in the northern sector, Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi, Catholic Bishop of the Sunyani Diocese, urged Ghanaians to promote good neighbourliness at all times.
