The Senate Ethics Committee dismissed a complaint against Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-Arizona) accusing him of inappropriate conduct and alleged campaign finance violations, the Arizona Democrat said on Monday.
“The dismissal by the Ethics Committee reaffirms what I have said about these accusations from the beginning: they were right-wing conspiracies peddled by far-right activists like Anna Paulina Luna, the White House, and their allies,” Gallego said in a statement.
In April, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Florida)accusedhim of “very disturbing”allegationsin social media posts. Gallego, who has denied any wrongdoing, thenestablished a legal defense fundin response.
“I look forward to an apology from Rep. Luna for weaponizing the ethics process while refusing to investigate historic corruption that’s making life harder for families,” Gallego added.

The Senate Ethics Committee has dismissed a complaint against U.S. Sen. Ruben Gallego.
The six-member committee, composed of three Republicans and three Democrats, said it found no evidence that Gallego, a Democrat, violated federal law, Senate rules or standards of conduct.
The investigation began after a complaint filed by U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Florida Republican. Now, Gallego says he expects her to apologize.
“I look forward to an apology from Rep. Luna for weaponizing the ethics process while refusing to investigate historic corruption that’s making life harder for families,” Gallego

The Senate Ethics Committee has dismissed a complaint brought against Sen. Ruben Gallego involving allegations of campaign finance violations and potential sexual misconduct.
The allegations against the Arizona Democrat were brought to the committee in April by a fellow member of Congress, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla. But in
a letter to Gallego
dated June 26, the committee said it had uncovered no wrongdoing.

, the six committee members led by Chair James Lankford, R-Okla., and Vice Chair Chris Coons, D-Del., said the panel “did not find evidence” for the specific allegations given to the committee by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Florida Republican.
“We are writing to inform you that the Select Committee on Ethics (the Committee) dismissed a complaint filed against you by Representative Anna Paulina Luna,” the senators wrote in a letter to Gallego.
