Two stooges for a Russian-speaking taskmaster have been found guilty over a series of arson attacks on property linked to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.

Days later, two houses were set ablaze, including a north London home occupied by the Prime Minister’s sister-in-law and her family which he still owns.
The attacks in the middle of the night while people were in bed asleep posed a serious threat to life and left householders terrified, the Old Bailey heard.

Two “useful idiots” have been jailed for a series of arson attacks targeting Sir Keir Starmer on the orders of a shadowy Russian-speaking taskmaster.
In May last year, a car and two houses linked to the Prime Minister were set alight in north London by Roman Lavrynovych.
He was acting on the instructions of an anonymous Telegram user called El Money who was reportedly linked to a Russian online sabotage network.
The court heard El Money offered Lavrynovych £3,000 in cryptocurrency if the blazes were filmed and got on the news.
Stanislav Carpiuc supported and encouraged his friend Lavrynovych and was going to help him convert the promised payment into cash.
Following an Old Bailey trial, Ukrainian Lavrynovych, 22, and Romanian Carpiuc, 27, were found guilty of plotting to damage the properties.

Two men who carried out a petrol bomb attack on a house amid an escalating gang war have been handed extended sentences for attempted murder.
Richard Ordish, 19, and Kurtis Young, 42, previously admitted “wilfully” setting fire to a property in the Hay Drive area of Edinburgh on April 4 last year, damaging the building and another in the street, and endangering the lives of two people.
They pleaded guilty to attempting to murder the two people in an offence aggravated by a connection with serious organised crime.
The High Court in Glasgow heard the “callous” attack came amid an escalating gang feud in Scotland’s central belt which was being investigated by police as part of Operation Portaledge.
Lord Arthurson handed both men extended sentences of 15 years for Young and 11 years for Ordish wh…

Two stooges for a Russian-speaking taskmaster have been found guilty over a series of arson attacks on property linked to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
Last May, a Toyota Rav4 which was once owned by Sir Keir was set alight in a street in Kentish Town, north London.

Two properties and a car linked to the Prime Minister were targeted in May last year
Two foreign nationals have been found guilty of plotting to damage property linked to Sir Keir Starmer in an arson attack last year.
Ukrainian Roman Lavrynovych, 22, and Romanian Stanislav Carpiuc, 27, were found guilty at the Old Bailey this afternoon, after targeting two properties and a car linked to the Prime Minister in May 2025.
The men, who live in London, were charged with conspiring together and "with others" to damage property by fire between April 1 and May 13 last year.
A Toyota previously owned by Sir Keir was set alight on May 8 in a street where he once lived in Kentish Town, north London, with Lavrynonych admitting to starting the fire.
Three days later, two homes were torched, including one rented out to Sir Keir's sister-in-law Judith Alexander, which he still owned, in Islington.
During the trial, Carpiuc told the Old Bailey that his friend Lavrynovych…
